Forensic Medicine & Toxicology

Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, one of the fields in forensic sciences comprised of two branches. The first branch comprised Forensic Medicine, which deals with the techniques applied in medical science for the law; whereas the other branch deals completely with Toxicology, as the name suggests, Toxicology is all about the detection, isolation, and symptoms produced by a particular poison/toxin on a living. The forensic medicine expert plays a role in distinguishing accidental manners from suicidal or homicidal ones. For example, if a ligature mark is present on the neck, this is usually suicide or homicide. In some situations, children have an increased risk for injury or death from accidents for a variety of reasons compared to adults. In a nutshell, this field is crucial in investigations and helps to solve mysteries.
