When we discuss the intersection between the study of human behaviour and the law, forensic psychology comes into play. Clinical psychologists, school psychologists, neuropsychologists, and counsellors use their psychological knowledge to offer testimony, analysis, or suggestions in civil and criminal proceedings. The field has seen tremendous expansion in recent years and serves as a crucial source of information in the legal environment, including criminal courts, juvenile, family, and civil courts, and aids in crime investigation by adding corroborative evidence. Through criminological theories, forensic psychology attempts to address the "Whys" underlying the causes of crime and provides many reasons for criminality and victimology. According to these views, there are discernible characteristics between offenders and non-offenders, and we may identify the criminal by analysing the pattern of crime.
